Know Your Vote Kentucky

Know Your Vote Kentucky fills a specific gap: citizens, especially activists, have no easy way to view active legislation, which leaves updates to the media's discretion. Systems like Legiscan exist, but public records are a public right—but access isn’t as simple as it sounds. KYvKY closes that gap for Kentuckians.

Challenge

Digitization made public records easier to find, but easier to find isn't the same as easy to understand. Most people have no idea what bills are moving through their state legislature—let alone how those bills will affect them.

Solution

The product centers on two core actions: exploring bills and subscribing for email updates. Search legislation, see what's moving through the state, and understand what it means for you. Recurring syncs push committees, meetings, agendas, and bill updates straight to your inbox. I designed, built, and currently maintain the project under my studio, The Eighth Dimension.
